Ciders

Ciders

Living in Northern Michigan, we are compelled to make cider for many reasons.  We make cider not only because we love it, but because we have a strong desire to use the ingredients found around us to make a beverage we believe in.  With apples sourced from our own back yard, we are committed to crafting ciders that showcase the beauty of our home.

Our name is derived from the seed pattern exposed when cutting an apple in half – a starcut. The seeds exposed from a starcut are not true to type. In other words, those seeds will create a different type of apple than the type they came from. This unique and serendipitous process serves as inspiration for our ciders. They too, have endless possibilities, a mix of traditional and experimental – they push the boundaries of what cider can be.
